Individual families with young children are welcome to visit the DFES Education and Heritage Centre during term time and school holidays. There are jigsaws, puzzles, topic books and colouring-in activities available in the carpeted area of the Early Leaning Space.
At this stage, we cannot take bookings for Kindergarten or Pre-School Groups. The Emergency Helpers in the Community and Me! is a curriculum-linked excursion which contains information, safety messages and activities that are developmentally appropriate from Pre-Primary upwards, and therefore not suitable for Kindergarten and Pre-School Aged students.

DFES Education & Heritage Centre also participates in City of Perth’s Playground Pass in the applicable school holidays, and celebrates Heritage Week with an Open Day in October school holidays.
During the school holidays, we cannot accept group bookings from Vacation Care, or Child Care Centres. If groups arrive at the Centre unannounced, unfortunately they will be turned away.
