Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services

There are over 1,000 Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services (VFES) members combined from the former Volunteer Fire Services (VFS) and Volunteer Emergency Service (VES).

The VFES are multi-functional units operated by volunteers trained for a number of emergencies and natural disasters.

If you would like more information about becoming a Fire and Emergency Services Volunteer, please review this flyer (1.5 MB PDF).

If you are looking for opportunities to volunteer in your local area, please visit the Emergency Services Volunteer Recruitment website.

You can also contact your local VFES unit or visit the Emergency Services Volunteers Association.
